Day Six.

This is my youngest. Lake Serenne. Her name, to us means a strong, calming peace. Here she is, on a typical day, wearing a Pink Floyd hoodie. Mickey Mouse beanie. Dress. Elsa boots. Field hockey stick on concrete. This child is fire.

My Lake is as wild as wild can be. Her ‘wild’ brings me peace and back to myself. Tell me God did not send her and my kiddos to me and I will argue with you all the livelong day. She is a rule breaker. A siren. I will fan this child, as with all my babies, into flame as long as I live. May they never, ever play by the rules. O.G.’s
